Delectable

This is an ongoing series of paintings. These nude portraits of genderqueer individuals are intimate and vulnerable, while maintaining an obnoxious flamboyancy. I want to bring beauty to our insecurities and moments that may make us look at our bodies with contempt. The brushwork and the color choices are a mask, a filter, while still holding some truth to the actual picture. I also maintain anonymity in the subjects, as seen in my "Suck It In" pieces, which are the precursors to this series.
